Hey guys! Today was a soup and sandwich kind of day. Butternut squash soup and an avocado salsa, fig, and veggie sandwich, to be exact. I will be posting the recipes of the food prepared in the above photos, in my next blog post. Until then, I want you to understand the importance of this title, and how much power you, truly, have. We all have the ability, and the freedom to choose what we eat everyday, and we take that for granted. Having such freedom, why would we choose to consume foods that didn't serve us? I personally, want my body running the best it can, for as long as it can. I want to be walking, cuddling, communicating and enjoying all of life's precious moment's, with the people I love, until the last day of my life. I refuse to have my last years here on earth, sick, in pain, or worse, lying in a hospital bed. We are all taught to think about our futures financially, some how we all find ways to invest in RRSPs, RESPs, life insurance, savings accounts etc. We find money to live way beyond our means.  We live in huge houses, buy nice cars and shop for designer clothing, but, somehow, most of us invest very little in our health. I think that our health is the most important investment we can make for our future. All of my recipes that I will be posting here are created with a strong focus on healthy eating. What we choose to put in our bodies, will directly affect how we live in the future.

We live in a day and age where we choose to mask our problems. An example of this would be a headache. Instead of figuring out why we have the headache, we choose to medicate and pretend as if it wasn't there at all. The headache is our bodies way of communicating with us, it is there for a reason. We live in a world, where its easier to band-aid a situation, rather than figure out what our body is trying to tell us. This scenario scares me because we never figure out what the underlying cause was. If you were swimming in an ocean and you saw a shark fin, then, all of a sudden it submerges under water, would that make you feel any better? We need to stop medicating and start educating ourselves. Education is power! Our health lies in how we choose to nourish our bodies, and knowing why we need to do that. Your why, is what gives you your purpose to doing anything. Why do we invest in our lives financially? Because we want to secure our financial future.  So, why should we invest in our health? To ensure a healthy future, and a higher quality of life. Without health, we have nothing. Treat your body the way you want to be treated. Love it, and it will love you back!

Hey everyone! I am super nervous, but, so excited about starting this blog. I am not a writer, actually far from it, so bare with me. I'd like to share a little bit about why I started this blog. Honestly, nothing makes me happier than bringing joy and happiness to others. As long as I can remember, I've had an obsession with food and fashion. In ways, I feel that they go hand in hand. The feeling of getting a good meal in my belly, or getting all dolled up brings the same sense of happiness to me. They both make you feel so good! Some of my favourite childhood memories are of myself whipping up yummy dishes for family and friends, and playing dress up in my room. I found that a good meal, always brought happiness and joy to my life. The same way that putting on a cute outfit does. I've always been told my style was somewhat eccentric, it is a reflection of how I define me. If I had to, I would describe my style as having a touch of grandmas couch, mixed with a little asian flare, with a bohemian, hippy vibe. I really don't know what to call it. I just put on what makes me feel pretty, lol.

So that's what has brought me here. I hope through sharing my love for food and fashion I'll be able to inspire you to live your happiest life. Realizing how food has such a huge role to someone's, all-round, health and spiritual happiness, I refuse to take this one life we have for granted. It's a true gift to be alive. I have made the decision to live my BEST life, and dedicate myself to living it authentically aware. I believe that most of life's issues can be avoided, by simply making minute changes, on a daily basis. Love yourself and this planet! This can be the difference between, prevention or intervention in all aspects of life. Health, relationships, environmental issues, even simple things such as weight loss. We live in a world where we have infinite choices and each decision we make affects that world and it's future. My hope is to, forever, live authentically eccentric, and encourage you to do the same. My passion is to help others find their happiness and to share all the knowledge I have accumulated, in hope of tiny changes. It gives my life purpose. I believe that education, knowledge, and happiness are the most powerful things anyone has to offer someone else.
